This, ladies and gentlemen, is a 1/4th scale mock-up design proposal of the Smart Forfour that came on the market in 2004. As you can see, absolutely nothing is the same as on the production model.
The same story counts for the rear end of the car. Not a single square centimeter is the same. Do you like this over the production version?

I do, but the production version seems more practical. And has four doors.
It still is an odd car and I like both versions.
But like every concept-car-turned-into -road- car it is a bit less exiting than the concept.

While I like the more aggressive stance of the concept car, the actual production model doesn't look bad now for an "old" car.

This mock-up has got four doors, too!

I like the first 4/5ths of it, but not the rear. It's almost like they did the rear without looking at the rest of it!
You'll find this a lot, by the way. There's never just one design idea for a given model. Often there are at least three or five that get as far as being made into models, and them someone picks the one they think will work best and that one gets finished off (potentially incorporating ideas from the other ones) and becomes the concept or production car that we actually see.

I would far prefer this mock-up to the bloated toad that is the road car. I like how it looks like an embiggened ForTwo
